I love that idea! You should add Family Wealth to your break-from-school reading list. There are a lot of great family giving ideas in there.
I think I'd lend it all to different entrepreneurs through Kiva. I'd keep the money in my Kiva account and recycle it through to different entrepreneurs as the loans were paid back. That way, with just $1,000, in time, I could lend hundreds of thousands.
