did you stay up for it? it was incredible. the us men just took the four by one hundred freestyle relay. it was worth it to see phelps' reaction: 
phelps has two golds. six to go. this girl is totally yelling at the tv cheering him on. that's right. yelling at the tv. clapping. i get into it, alright?

how can you not get into it?! my whole family was on their feet inches away from the screen screaming or holding our breath. it was incredible! its moments like those that make the olympics addictive!!
i wish i'd been with a crowd, but i was watching on my own, and started yelling at the tv on that last lap! i went nuts when we touched first! did you hear what the french had said before the race? "the americans, we're going to smash them. that's what we came here for."
