spellbound.

i didn't win the spelling bee in elementary school (though i do remember mike merrick winning on 'pigeon, p-i-g-e-o-n, pigeon' and i'm pretty sure michele took the blue ribbon when she competed back in the nineties).

i was reminded of my spelling skills when i scored awfully on this test... the twentyfive most commonly misspelled words. hopefully you get something better than "poor" results.

I was in the spelling bee in third grade. It came down to me and one other kid. Eventually we ran out of words on the third grade list and were forced to start spelling like fourth graders. Having never studied the fourth grade list at all, I didn't last long. "Laser" was the word. I spelled it "LaZer" - the way I think most kids would spell it (Z's are so much cooler than S's). To this day, I hate spelling that word.
