proposition r.

this is a san francisco prop that moves to change the name of the city's Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant to the George W Bush Sewage Plant.

on one hand, if we (the city of san francisco) pass it, i think it will continue to define us as crazy liberals.

and on the other hand, i'm not sure that what people think about san francisco will change anytime soon [or ever].

and on one foot, it's pretty disrespectful.

and on the other foot, it's sort of funny.

what should i do, Internet? yes or no on R?

No.
Why go through extra effort to make something with a perfectly lovely name that is situated in a lovely location switch it's name to one that reminds many of their bitterness and disappointment and is just plain negative-sounding? This innocuous Plant through no fault of its own might have to become a symbol of a city's disgust with an outgoing politician... I'd be annoyed if I worked there. They used to work in "water pollution control" and now they just muck around in "bush sewage." bummer.
